About Our Society

The Hardin County Genealogy Society, a chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, was organized in February 1982. Our mission is to encourage and facilitate genealogical research and the preservation of historical records in Hardin County, Ohio. We are located at 211 W. Franklin St., Kenton, Ohio. Our library houses a wealth of information for researchers.

Our building was donated to us by Robert G. Reed, Jr. in 2003. We are very grateful to him and to all other people who have donated money, items, and time to make our center the best that it can be.
