Pioneer Families of Hardin County is a second lineage society founded by our organization. It serves to honor the memory of those who settled in the county's formative years, following the initial wave of "First Families."
To qualify for membership, you must prove direct descent from an ancestor who resided in the territory that is now Hardin County between 1 January 1841 and 31 December 1860.
Applications are available from the society. If you believe your ancestors were among these vital early settlers, we encourage you to apply.
The list of honored Pioneer Family inductees is growing. Please contact the society for the most current list or to inquire about a specific surname.
